U.L. Group 2 Mechanical Lock

U.L. (Underwriter's Labratory, Inc.) is an independent, third party product certification organization that rigorously tests products to ensure they conform to certain safety and security standards. U.L. defines Group 2 combination locks as resistant to semiskilled manipulation attacks. A manipulation attack is any attempt to discern the combination on the lock using the features and weaknesses in the design of the lock. Group 2 locks are the most common locks available on most safes. U.L. also defines the minimum number of combinations that the lock will allow.  However, this is a technical specification and on most locks there are specific recommended restrictions in assigning a combination that effectively limits the allowable combinations.  Group 2 locks are also required to have an internal relocking system that fires when the lock is punched.  Punching (using a hammer and punch tool) is done to try to push the lock off the back of the safe by driving a punch (or any object long and sturdy enough) through the dial spindle hole.

 Time Delay Mode: Delays can be set from 1 to 99 minutes. Multiple User Mode: When enabled, one Master code and eight user codes are available with full supervisory control and code management. Dual Control Mode: The lock can be programmed to require two combinations to open for added security. Armored Car Override: When enabled, allows an armored car service to bypass Time Delay. External A/C Power: Provides power for unlimited use with battery power as backup. Control Port: Turn the ESL20XL on/off with an Access Manager, Alarm System or other device.

All Combination changes and programming are easily made at keypad. Uses two (2), 9V Alkaline batteries -Duracell® recommended. (E-Z keypad uses (1) 9V battery.) Keypad feedback with beep and LED flash. Multiple users - one Master code and eight user codes are available. Programmable Time Delay. Motor driven bolt. Wrong combination try penalty. U.L.
