S&G 6141 Combination Dial Lock - Standard Lock Used
The Sargent and Greenleaf 6741 Lock is by far the most commonly used lock on the Hayman safes. Sturdy, reliable and secure, this lock will withstand decades of use if serviced properly. It is most commonly used in situations where the user is needs access to the safe only sparodically, but reliably. The S&G 6741 uses a three number combination that allows for up to 1,000,000 combinations and also features a +/- 1.25 dialing tolerance to make it easier to dial the safe open with the combination. It also features a footprint common accross the industry to allow it to be easily replaced with an electronic lock later if desired.

S&G 6120 Electronic Lock - Optional Lock Upgrade
The Sargent & Greenleaf 6120 electronic Lock is the standard S&G electronic lock offered by Hayman Safe. Similar to most electronic locks, it uses a 6-digit combination to attain a total of one million code combinations. The 6120 has a total of nine user codes (one master, eight users) and has a penalty lockout feature where it shuts down for five minutes after four or more incorrect entries. It also includes programmable time delay of up to nine minutes where the lock won't open until the set number of minutes has passed after the combination has been entered. All of the features of the 6120 can be programmed straight from the keypad and requires no additional programming tools. It also uses motor-driven bolt retraction for situations where there is no boltwork, or the boltwork isn't capable of pushing back an unlocked lock bolt (most electronic lock simply allow their bolt to be pushed back).
In general, the 6120 lock is usually used in mostly commercial situations where additional users and lock features (such as the time delay) are required. While the 6120 will perform fine in residential situations, it's usually a bit of overkill as most residents will never use the additional features. However, in special cases (such as when there is no separate boltwork) the 6120 may sometimes be the best option.
LaGard Basic Electronic Lock - Optional Lock Upgrade
The LaGard Basic is the most common electronic lock Hayman Safe sells. It offers very basic functionality but is a very reliable lock. It's also quite a bit cheaper compared to electronic locks with more advanced features. However, it is in no way inferior to other advanced locks in security. In many ways its simplicity helps make the LaGard Basic a more reliable lock by reducing the chance of user programming errors. Similar to most electronic locks, the LaGard Basic uses a 6-digit code to give a total number of one million possible combinations. It has the capability of providing one master/manager code and one user code. It also has a five minute lockout whenever four consecutive wrong entries are entered.
In general, the LaGard Basic lock is ideal for residential situations and commercial situations when simple access is all that is desired. It is the perfect upgrade to a mechanical dial for ease of access and changeability of codes (mechanical dials are only changeable by a certified locksmith).
LaGard ComboGard Pro Electronic Lock - Optional Lock Upgrade
The ComboGard Pro is an advanced electronic lock geared towards commercial uses. It includes many features designed to give various methods of access control combined with ease of use. By providing two separate methods of programming through the Keypad or Windows based PC software, the ComboGard ensures that all the functionality of the lock is easily accessable. It also features many options to improve security and access control, including dual access mode (requiring 2 codes to enter), variable digit codes from four to nine digits long, a time delay up to 99 minutes with up to a 19 minute opening window, silent alarm and remote lock out (requires alarm box, sold separately), and other features.
The ComboGard Pro is an excellent choice for many businesses and is worthy of serious consideration. Many businesses will find that while they may not be looking specifically for many of the features the ComboGard Pro provides, once these features are implemented they provide a level of security and access control indispensable to them.
LaGard LP Audit Electronic Lock - Optional Lock Upgrade
The LaGard AuditGard is an advanced electronic lock similar to the ComboGard Pro but has advanced Auditing features and an additional layer of security designed for provide superior access control. The lock can be programmed with a Controlling/Master user to handle the auditing capabilities of the lock as well as a manger and eight regular users. The AuditGard keeps a record of the last 512 events along with a time and date stamp, which can all be downloaded into a PC. It can be programmed through both the keypad and through a user-friendly WindowsTM PC based software. It also has other advanced security features including Dual Token (eKay or eKey II), Dual Combination, Time Delay, Time Delay Override, Silent Alarm and remote signal lockout to disable the lock.
The AuditGard is an excellent choice for those who need to keep track of who entered (or tried to enter) the safe and when. If you find that simple multiple-user combination lock is not enough, and you need something more robust to meet your needs, the AuditGard merits serious attention.
