This is a great product, but it is not a safe in the traditional sense. It is a strong box that houses the shotgun, with a box or two of extra rounds. It is an IDEAL alternative to hanging a shot gun in the open in the closet, or dealing w/ key locks and rigged up racks. This product keeps it out of sight, has great easy access, and would clearly indicate if someone was tampering w/ the shotgun. It is NOT an alternative to a safe as it would be reasonably easy to pry open w/ a good pry bar.

The holes on the back for mounting to a wall do not align w/ standard 16” center studs, thus be prepared to drill a series of holes in the back of the steal for a reasonable install. Not a hard thing to do w/ a standard drill and metal bit.

I am very happy w/ my purchase. It fits the task perfectly for the money.

I purchased the V-Line Shotgun case for my Remington 870 and Sig handgun. Both just barely fit in the case. My MESNA 6 shot side saddle make it a tight fit. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. The case is constructed of heavy gage metal and the combo lock is sturdier then I had anticipated. It can also be opened up easily in the dark, a nice feature if you need to open the case n a hurry and do not have time to cross the room and turn on the light. The end locks when locked provide a substantial amount of security to the case. I lock the end locks when I am away from the house over night and am confident that the box can not be pried open as the case is lagged bolted to the narrow interior side wall of my closet.
